As pioneers of Emergency care in China, the department of Emergency Medicineat Peking University People's Hospital guarantees you the highest levels of skill, expertise and infrastructure. Each year, emergency care physicians see more than 200,000 patients in the emergency care setting. Our emergency specialists ensure quick diagnosis and treatment for patients with their unsurpassed expertise and knowledge.

Our department is organized to coordinate the complete care of the critically illinjured patient from the pre-hospital environment through initial evaluation and stabilization, hospitalization and discharge, thus our department is comprised of five areas:

1.     Emergency green channel for trauma, stroke, chest pain, and critically ill patients.

2.     Emergency resuscitation area, equipped with 6 beds.

3.     Emergency ICU, with 40 beds.

4.     Emergency clinics.

5.     Observation unit, equipped with 36 beds.

The standing protocol is geared to meet all medical and surgical emergencies. And depending on the reconstruction of hospital resources and protocols, trauma center, stroke center, chest pain center, and heart failure unit have been built up successfully. Several important metrics are being tracked to ensure that the care process is smooth and efficient every single time.
