About Us
    Department of Neurology was founded in 1983. Our outstanding clinical staff includes the 24 doctors，22 nurses，8 technician, among whom there are 3 with Postdoctoral degree, 5 with Doctor degree，12 with Master degree and 7 with oversea experience either in workingstudying.

    Integrating modern facilities, our department offers comprehensive services to patients. The Department is committed to providing our patients with comprehensive, high quality and professional diagnostics, treatments and care for a broad spectrum of neurological disorders, symptoms, common and rare diseases, such as acute cerebrovascular diseases, headaches and spinal cord disease apart from epilepsy, peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis etc. We have participated in compiling nationwide guidelines and expert proposals on neurology.

    Over 90000 outpatients and 1200 inpatients visit our Department annually.  Rare cases would be discussed among neurologists for correct diagnosis and treatment.

    The Department is not only responsible for education of medical students of Peking University but also provides extensive educational and training programs for students in neurology, social workers, and for nurses specializing in neurological care. Currently 7 Master and 5 Doctor students have been trained in our department.

    The Department is well equipped with advanced medical instruments like EMG, Vedio-EEG, VEP, SEP, BAEP, TCD, CVA apart from MRI, CT, DSA, PET and well trained technicians.Neuromuscular biopsy and neuropathological examination can be carried out now.
